About the event

How does laughter help mental health? Laughter, like exercise, has been shown to release endorphins (chemicals produced by the body to relieve stress and pain and make you feel happy).

Studies have shown that the physical exertion involved in the process of laughing can give you some of the benefits of a light workout. The recommended amount to have this effect is 15 minutes of continual laughter.

This is difficult to achieve on your own without external triggers, and this is why attending this webinar helps! Sam Rehan is a Professional Laughter Facilitator and author of Laugh More. She has five years experience in lengthening the laughter of people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. What happens in a laughter well-being session? Sam shares short, easy group exercises to prolong your natural laughter- without jokes. She shares how laughter and smiling are powerful aids for your wellness, career and relationships.

What if I can't laugh? That is ok. Sam invites laughter and laughter occurs more easily with other people and like yawning, hearing other people laugh helps to bring out our natural laughter despite our current situation. If you can't laugh, it is likely you are able to smile (still health-boosting) and soften if smiling is difficult for you at the moment.

What if I feel some anxiety about attending? That is normal and it's common. There are zero individual exercises and you can switch your camera off at any time and/or mute. You can join in as little or as much as you want. In-between the laughter you learn relaxation techniques to help you feel better.

The cost ? FREE! Build your immunity and connect with community.

Come and laugh freely and easily for health. Sam looks forward to laughing with you
